Mark learned structures in a surprisingly good place: the U.S. Department of Justice. Unknown to many, the federal government has actually been a leader in the development, adoption, and utilization of periodic payment settlements. As a former Assistant Director of the Torts Branch, Civil Division, Mark was present and directly involved in the formation of policy regarding structure use.

This background combined with hands-on experience as a bona fide trial attorney makes Mark a true expert in the field, valued by claimants, defendants, and judges alike for his understanding of the value dynamics and specific documentation requirements necessary to forge correct and robust settlements.

Approaching his 25th year with JMW, Mark has served in numerous capacities, including general counsel and head of operations.
